We’ve been shipping placenta since 2020, when we launched this nationwide shipping program. Being located in the heart of the US (Missouri) makes us a great middle ground for fast shipping.
How much does it cost? The same products are available, plus a non-refundable $50 shipping kit.
How does the placenta shipping program work? A complete shipping kit will be sent out around 34 or ASAP if after that point of your pregnancy and has everything you need to safely send your placenta to Midwest Placenta. Your placenta products will be prepared and shipped right to your doorstep just as you begin your postpartum recovery.
Step #1: Sign Up |
![]() |
Complete the sign-up form HERE! This form gives me all your information and adds you to my due date calendar. I will usually reach out to you with more information within a few hours. |
Step #2: Complete Paperwork |
![]() |
Complete a simple liability form and submit bloodwork with negative results for HIV, Hepatitis, or STDs/STIs (and answer a few other medical questions). More information will be provided after signup. |
Step #3: Pay for Shipping Kit |
![]() |
The shipping kit deposit of $50 must be paid prior to receiving the shipping kit. We accept Paypal, Venmo, CashApp, Money Order, or Personal Check (personal check must be done in advance). Once this is completed, shipping kit will be sent out at 34 weeks gestation or right away if needed. Your shipping kit will include a cardboard shipping box, a styrofoam shipping cooler, a placenta collection kit for your birthteam (with all needed bags and instructions for placenta), ice packs, clear shipping tape, and a prepaid UPS label for rush/air shipping back to our location. |
Step #4: Notify Your Birthteam |
![]() |
Notify your doctor/midwife that you intend to keep your placenta. Put it on your birth plan, have them put it in your chart, etc. just to make sure everyone is aware and the placenta doesn’t get lost in the excitement of baby arriving. |
Step #5: Pack Your Hospital Bag |
![]() |
Put a few extra things with your hospital bag: Your placenta collection kit, leak-proof tupperware style container and a cooler to keep placenta on ice for hospital/birth-center stay. More specific information and step by step colored photos will be provided in your shipping kit. |
Step #6: Arrival At Hospital / Birth Center for Baby Time! |
![]() |
Once you arrive at the hospital/birth center give the staff the ‘Placenta Collection Kit’ as labeled in your shipping kit and request for placenta to be handled as stated in your collection kit. |
Step #7: Once Baby & Placenta are Born |
![]() |
Once you have the placenta, keep it on ice until you’re discharged, or until someone can take the placenta home. Check ice as needed, depending on length of stay. More specific information and step by step colored photos will be provided in your shipping kit. |
Step #8: Pre-Freeze Placenta |
![]() |
Once you are home, remove placenta from cooler and place in freezer for a minimum of 48 hours to thoroughly freeze and ensure the placenta will stay cold during the shipping process. If you haven’t already, place ice-packs (included in your shipping kit) in the freezer to freeze as well. More specific information and step by step colored photos will be provided in your shipping kit. |
Step #9: Shipping to Missouri |
![]() |
On determined shipping date, remove placenta and ice packs from freezer and prepare as stated in the shipping kit. Take to the nearest UPS store and the rest will be taken care of. |
Step #10: Arrival of Placenta |
![]() |
Once we receive your package, we will contact you to let you know it has arrived. Remaining balance must be paid (if not already done so) before encapsulation can begin. |
Step #11: Preparation to Encapsulate |
![]() |
Upon arrival, we do a quick temperature check to ensure placenta was stored at a safe temperature when shipping (most of the time, they still arrive VERY frozen). |
Step #12: Encapsulation Process |
![]() |
Each placenta product chosen is prepared with care following the high-standard protocols as taught in my formal placenta encapsulation training. If you opted for pictures, I’ll send photos of your placenta/process every step of the way. Read more about the encapsulation process here or see step-by-step photos on our gallery page. |
Step #13: Completed Products Shipped Back |
![]() |
Your placenta products are completed (usually within 24-36 hours after arrival). You will receive complete dosage, storage guidelines, etc. in your “goodie box”. Once shipped, we will contact you with a tracking number. |
Step #14: Receive Your Finished Package |
![]() |
You will receive the completed placenta capsules other placenta items at your door in just a few days. |
Step #15: Rock Your Recovery |

You can start taking your placenta capsules right away and start experiencing the amazing benefits yourself! I’m available for call/text/email support as needed. |
What clients are saying about our shipping program…
“I was worried because I couldn’t find any encapsulations near me, and I reached out to Casey and she answered my many questions as well as letting me know about her shipping program! It really is so simple and easy and you could definitely tell she thought out the process thoroughly and gave great instructions on each step of the shipping and placenta storage process!” -Review from Esther F. from Nevada, Shipping Client from 2022.
Notes:
If you are close to your baby’s estimated due date (guess day) or if your baby has already be been born, please do not hesitate to contact us. Just freeze the placenta, and we can get everything taken care of and a kit shipped out ASAP.
If you need to cancel any reason BEFORE shipping kit is mailed out, the $50 shipping kit deposit and any other balance paid can be refunded. If you need to cancel for any reason AFTER the shipping kit has been mailed out, the $50 shipping kit deposit is non-refundable, but any amount paid over the $50 shipping kit deposit can be refunded (ex: placental infection, placenta was sent to pathology, etc.).
